The American Nurses Credentialing Center Pathway to Excellence Program® is pleased to announce that Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho has achieved the prestigious Pathway to Excellence designation.  Pathway recognizes excellence in positive practice environments and ensures that nurses are empowered, engaged, and have a strong voice in their practice.  To achieve the credential, organizations must demonstrate the enculturation of six Pathway Standards essential to an ideal nursing practice environment: Shared Decision-Making, Leadership, Safety, Quality, Well-being, and Professional Development.

The Pathway to Excellence journey is a rigorous process that includes submission of narratives and an invitation to all nurses in the organization to participate in a confidential online survey. There are now 206 elite organizations nationwide and from 7 countries outside of the U.S, that have earned this global distinction. You should be proud to share with your constituents that Madison Memorial Hospital is one of them!

On behalf of the Commission on Pathway to Excellence as well as the Pathway Program Office, we would like to congratulate and thank YOU for promoting practice environments that support, value, and enable nurses to thrive within your state as exemplified by Madison Memorial Hospital!
