ANA National Legislative Update for November 22
This is the most recent update from the ANA's Government Affairs Deptartment.
When Brie Sandow, ANA-Idaho president, and Dori Healey, ANA-Idaho president elect, and Anna Rostock, ANA-Idaho chair of the legislative committee, visited Washington, DC, for the 2019 ANA Hill Day, they met with Senator Jim Risch and staff of the other Idaho legislators. They specifically talked about the need for Idaho's representatives to cosponsor and vote in favor of both the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (S. 851 [congress.gov] / H.R. 1309 [congress.gov]) and the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act (S. 1399 [congress.gov] / H.R. 728 [congress.gov]).
Yesterday, the House passed our workplace violence legislation with bipartisan support [twitter.com]!
Additionally, three weeks ago the House also passed our Title VIII bill! This vote was unanimous.
