TWO events are planned for Thursday, February 20, 2020.
(1) The MORNING will be at the Idaho Capitol 0800-1130. Attendance is FREE and students are welcomed.

(2) The AFTERNOON will be the Legislative Conference starting at 1245 at the Red Lion Downtowner Hotel on Fairview Avenue that will include an afternoon dessert break. There is a fee of $20 for licensed nurses to cover CNE costs, but students are free. 3.0 CNE are APPROVED.
The agenda is posted and includes an overview of Idaho legislation activities that impact nurses and Idaho healthcare issues. There is also a HOT TOPICS session that will discuss issues with Idaho's efforts to combat the opioid misuse crisis and the increasing opioid related deaths, the issues that impact Idaho related to recreational marijuana and the legal recreational use in Idaho's surrounding states, and the issues that are impacting Idaho nursing schools with the emergence of more private schools planning to open in Idaho that will compete for existing faculty and clinical spaces.
