(Part 1) Nurses Legislative Conference that follows a morning session at the Idaho Capitol.  This afternoon session at the Riverside Hotel begins with a hosted lunch followed by 3 speakers discussing both state and national legislative topics.

(Part 2) Annual ANA-Idaho membership meeting from 4:15 to 5PM.  All attendees, inlcuding students, are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion that will guide 2019 ANAI activities.

(Part 3) Friday conference day that will focus on the major issues that ANAI is addressing.  The Keynote speaker is Andrea Christopher, MD, MPH.  Dr. Christopher is a Boise physician who has a special interest in health disparity and she has completed much research on population health and outcomes.  She was greatly involved in the work to pass Proposition 2 in November and is a member of the steering committee, Doctors and Nurses for Healthcare.

Other conference topics support ANAI initiatives, Idaho's progress towards the 80% BSN goal (we are currently 71%), our partnership with dental health and how nurses can impact oral health, Transition to Practice and Nurse Residency, and supporting and showcasing original nursing research conducted in Idaho.
